More WIP shots of this illustration!  Here’s the previous WIP post I made - http://eskiworks.tumblr.com/post/57550596812

I started out by adding some more definition to the characters and foreground, in the basic light and shadow layer I have set to multiply.  I’m leaving the characters mostly untouched for now as I focus on the background.  Started in on that background, fleshing out the shapes a bit more.

The next WIP shot is just more background work.  I’m painting on a single layer here, set to normal, using the eyedropper tool to sample my paint colors as I go.  For now I’m unconcerned with colors, just getting the shapes in the way I like.

The third WIP shot I started to play with some light!  Using a couple layers set to color and overlay.  Added a little color variety to the background, but I’m going to mess with it more, see what else I can get that might look better.  I also refined those futuristic looking hover cars a bit.  I’ll be painting over those with rust corrosion, overgrowth, and other signs of age.
