Murrey Mizell " Buddy " Harman, Jr. (23 de diciembre de 1928 - 21 de agosto de 2008) fue un músico de sesión estadounidense de música country.

Carrera

Nacido en Nashville (Tennessee), Harman estudió música en la Escuela de Percusión de Roy C. Knapp y en 1952 regresó a Nashville donde inició una prolífica carrera como músico de sesión, [5]​ tocando la batería en más de 18.000 sesiones para artistas como Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Moon Mullican, el compositor Larry Petree, Martha Carson, [6]Dolly Parton, Brenda Lee, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Roy Orbison, Connie Francis, Chet. Atkins, Marty Robbins, Ray Price, Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Kenny Rogers, Barbara Mandrell, Eddy Arnold, Perry Como, Merle Haggard, Reba McEntire, Gillian Welch y muchos más. Harman fue el primer baterista habitual del programa de radio en vivo Grand Ole Opry. [8]​ Algunos de los premios recibidos por Harman incluyen "Baterista del Año" en 1981 de la Academia de Música Country y el Premio "Super Picker" a la batería en la canción más No. 1 grabaciones del capítulo NARAS de Nashville en 1975 y 1976. [9]

Felleció en el Hospice Center de Nashville debido a una insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva a la edad de 79 años. [8]
