Soft Open Point (SOP) solution is a FACTS device based on power electronics that increases #SmartGrid efficiency by providing flexible power control to #distribution networks. It increases grid hosting capacity by interconnecting two separate areas of the distribution network with the same or different voltage levels, angles or even frequency.
