It's #ZeroWasteWeek! 🌿 Let's shine a spotlight on how beauty brands can reduce commercial waste, reuse materials, and recycle effectively. In this insightful article, Cosmetics & Toiletries speaks with Jo Chidley, who shares her top 5 tips for zero-waste beauty formulations. 1️⃣ Ingredient sourcing: Choose natural, organic ingredients that are responsibly harvested from suppliers prioritising eco-friendly practices like renewable energy and water recycling. 2️⃣ Minimalist formulations: Keep the number of ingredients in formulations to a minimum. Simplifying the formula can reduce waste during production and decrease the chances of allergenic reactions in consumers. 3️⃣ Packaging considerations: If packaging is necessary, choose recyclable, reusable, or biodegradable materials. Consider using post-consumer recycled content or explore innovative packaging solutions that minimize waste. 4️⃣ Waste management: Implement effective waste management strategies throughout the manufacturing process. Integrate recycling and waste reduction programs into your facility, and seek opportunities to repurpose or upcycle production waste to minimise overall waste. 5️⃣ Education and communication: Educate consumers on the importance of zero-waste cosmetics and how they can adopt a more sustainable beauty routine. Provide guidance on proper product use and storage to help extend the lifespan of their products. Find out more here>> https://lnkd.in/ey4UhvYJ #sustainablebeauty #cosmeticformulations #Zerowaste

Transcending Worlds: The Power of Fragrance... As the high cost of living impacts consumer behaviour, many are turning to fragrance as a means of escapism or self-expression. This shift has increased the focus on enhancing the perceived value of fragrance through added functionalities and long-lasting effects. At in-cosmetics Global, we’re fortunate to witness how fragrance houses are collaborating with other creatives to push the boundaries of fragrance. One such example is Iberchem, whose collaboration with a ceramist, showcased in Paris, is detailed below. #fragrance #perfume #personalcare #innovation
Sandra Lucas Haro, perfumer at #Iberchem, and Carmen López, ceramist, collaborated on the occasion of the fragrance exhibition [Matières]. The result was presented this year at in-cosmetics Global in Paris. This combination of art and fragrance was meant to create a common object, for which the logical boundaries between the fluid and solid cease to exist. Together, they revisited the definition of a #fragrance compound. Find out more in this short interview. More about [Matières]: https://lnkd.in/dE9QXYsD
