We are thrilled to announce that Instituto de Medicina Molecular (iMM) has joined the MAGIC Consortium to advance research on muscular dystrophies. With the addition of iMM's expertise, we aim to enhance muscle-on-chip models and develop innovative genetic therapies. iMM's involvement includes the Gomes group introducing a novel cellular perspective to the project, significantly advancing the development of disease-specific models. Additionally, iMM will establish two new disease models for centronuclear myopathies, broadening the scope and impact of our research. This partnership aligns with iMM's mission to advance biomedical research and improve clinical care, ultimately benefiting society. The aim of the MAGIC Project is to revolutionize the study and treatment of neuromuscular diseases with cutting-edge approaches and a patient-centric focus.
