🍲 The village of Mosan is a beacon of community spirit and culinary heritage. Each year, the village reveres its rich agricultural legacy with the Dangsanje Ritual, a sacred ancestral rite where wealthy farmers pray for abundant harvests, ensuring prosperity for all. At the village hall, a hub of communal activity, residents come together for various events and are nourished with healthy foods to combat the summer heat. Monthly gatherings unite villagers over shared meals crafted from the bounty of Mosan's crops, fostering a deep sense of kinship and solidarity. Embracing inclusivity, tourists are welcomed to partake in these communal feasts, immersing themselves in the warmth of local hospitality. Throughout the seasons, vibrant festivals animate the dolmen site, with residents joyously participating to strengthen community bonds and supplement their livelihoods. In Mosan, the celebration of tradition and togetherness is not just a way of life; it's a testament to the enduring spirit of Korea's rural communities. #Mosan #KoreanCuisine #CommunitySpirit #CulturalHeritage #TraditionalFestivals #LocalHospitality #RuralLife

🌍 The International Code for the Protection of Tourists is a groundbreaking global instrument dedicated to safeguarding tourists in emergency situations and ensuring they have robust consumer protection rights. We at UN Tourism are committed to collaborating with our member States, experts, and international organizations to continually support a sustainable tourism, including consumer protection. 📜We are proud to present the UN Tourism International Code for the Protection of Tourists at the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) during the round table on Protecting consumers as tourists. Key highlights: 🔹 The Code is the only global instrument setting international standards for assistance to tourists in emergency situations and their consumer rights. 🔹 Developed by 103 countries, experts, international organizations, and the private sector. 🔹 Adopted by the General Assembly of UN Tourism in December 2021 and already adhered to by 24 countries, with more to follow! 🔹 Includes principles for consumer protection in digital markets and alternative dispute settlement mechanisms for travel disputes. 🔹 A living instrument that will continue to evolve with the input of our member States and partners. Thank you, UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), for your collaboration. We look forward to continuing our inter-agency cooperation!
