Discover the new purpose of the historic Eemlandia dairy factory in Bunschoten, the Netherlands! 🐄 Over a century after it started operations, this monumental building was redeveloped into 25 studios and office space and was added to with 15 newbuild homes. One of the highlights in the office space is a tall SemperGreenwall Indoor, a living wall that adorns the entrance hall and contributes to the acoustics and aesthetics of the building. Grey was yesterday, green is to stay! 🌿 In the garden behind the monumental villa 'Euterpe' in Lunteren (NL), a new construction project of 10 apartments has been realised; ‘The Garden of Euterpe’ 🌳. Sustainability is a high priority in these new homes. The houses are natural gas-free, energy-efficient and topped off with a Sedum roof. This curved green roof was installed by Maassen Tuinen. De zonnige zomerdagen kunnen nu wel komen! ☀ In Dilbeek (België) is een 'best of both worlds' dak gerealiseerd; op een (bestaand) groendak zijn verticale bifacial zonnepanelen geplaatst van Over Easy Solar. De eigenaresse van de woning wilde graag ook zonne-energie op gaan wekken, maar niet haar groendak hiervoor weghalen. Dit lichtgewicht solar systeem bood de oplossing en is afgelopen mei geïnstalleerd door Solar Batteries! Met DW Bouw zijn we trots op de eerste door ons gebouwde biobased woning in Nieuwehorne. Samen met onze partners GreenInclusive, Miedema, Rabobank, Achterbosch Architecten, Soprema Nederland, Circulair Friesland, Hydraloop Systems - Use Water Twice en Van Vuuren Grou BV, zijn we trots op het eindresultaat dat we afgelopen vrijdag en zaterdag aan meer dan 200 belangstellenden hebben kunnen presenteren. Wethouder Rolie Tromp verzorgde vrijdag namens de Gemeente Heerenveen de officiële opening van de woning en op zaterdag werd de woning, die we met ons bouwteam met veel passie en precisie hebben gebouwd, opengesteld voor particulieren. Het enthousiasme van de meer dan vele bezoekers voor biobased bouwen was geweldig. De vele positieve reacties die we hebben gehad zijn voor ons bouwteam een geweldig compliment en het stimuleert enorm om ons te blijven inzetten voor biobased bouwen met lokale, natuurlijke materialen zoals hennep, waarmee we ook CO2 vastleggen in de woningen die we bouwen! #DWBouw #BiobasedBouwen #Duurzaamheid #Nieuwehorne #Innovatie #Samenwerking #DuurzaamWonen

In this theatre, botanicals take centre stage 🎭 We're excited to showcase this beautiful renovation project in Den Bosch (NL)! With a strong focus on re-use of existing materials, accessibility and multifunctionality, 'Theater aan de Parade' has become a theatre of the future. For the foyer (aptly named 'the garden room'), architecture firm NOAHH | Network Oriented Architecture was inspired by a local 19th century garden and captured this natural feeling with various SemperGreenwalls. Good news: I would hereby like to announce the new CEOs of Sempergreen Group; Aldo Tognini and Henriette Vink! Aldo and Henriette have both been working within Sempergreen Group for several years as CFO and CCO. We see it as a great advantage that, in addition to these positions, they also want to take on the role of CEO together. Two CEOs fits well with the progressive company and the ambitions we have. With their own unique perspectives and experience, they complement each other well. I am proud of what our team has built over the past 28 years but also very much look forward to seeing how they will take the company even further. I will remain involved as Chairman of the Board and will make more time available for strengthening and expanding my network and developing innovations. As an ambassador of Sempergreen Group and the market we are in, I will also do my best to accelerate the true greening of our buildings and cities. We're going for it: 'Replanting the Planet'! 📸 0, 1 & 2 years after installation; this lively roof gives Brno a green boost! ❓ Why was a green roof installed here? A few years ago, the roof of this eight-story residential tower was due for an update. The old tarmac strips needed to be replaced and they wanted to create a cooler environment in the apartments closest to the roof. After the roofing materials were replaced, GreenTop s.r.o. - zelené střechy Brno installed a green roof system on top. The Sedum roof protects the new roofing materials underneath from harmful UV radiation, extending their lifespan, and can also create a cooler ambient temperature compared to the old, dark roof. ♻️ Local support The realisation of the green roof was partly made possible because of the local government's focus on climate-proofing their city! As the first city in the Czech Republic, Brno has provided a subsidy budget for the construction of green roofs on both new builds and renovation projects. This subsidy persuaded the residents to opt for a green roof, covering two-thirds of the costs. 🌿 Would you like to read more about the project? Transforming neighbourhoods 🏡 Check out this amazing renovation in the Dutch city of Oss! The housing corporation BrabantWonen has given 32 homes a sustainable makeover, inside and out. Five blocks on the Nachtegaallaan street now feature lightweight Sedum roofs combined with solar panels, covering 1,000 m²! ☀️ New windows, doors, and insulation bring added comfort, while the greenery on top keeps the roofs cooler and boosts solar efficiency.
