📈 Shiji's Guest Experience Benchmark for Q1 2024 is here! This quarter we have vastly simplified the format of the report, with the key global data summarised below along with a deeper dive per region which we will be posting about next week. So what are the big takeaways? 🔹 Global GRI continues to grow with an increase 1.1 points over Q1 2023 🔹 3-star hotels' GRI has been growing faster than 5-star hotels', mostly due to improvements in "Room" and "Cleanliness" indexes 🔹 Europe is the only market to have seen its review volume shrink over Q1 2023, mainly due to fewer negative reviews potentially an increased focus on removing fake reviews 🔹 Expedia grew its review volume at the global level, notably in North America and Asia-Pacific 🔹 Average response time shrunk even further to just 3 days, from 9.5 days on average in Q1 2022 and 5.7 days in Q1 2023, even with an increased volume. It is hard to say whether AI tools have had an impact or that the hotels are simply working harder to build their market share.
