🔬 🚀 That's where it all started. Being part of the Parc Científic de la Universitat de València has been crucial for #Matteco. From its Instituto de Ciencia Molecular- ICMol, we developed our R&D&I work and began to manufacture the first orders for our customers, before leaping to industrial-scale manufacturing. For this reason, it was an honor to be recognized in the Valencian Science Parks Network Awards #PremiosrePCV2024 in the Spin-Off category. Science parks are an ecosystem of knowledge and innovation, essential for generating ideas, research at the highest level and transferring technology and science to the economy. This award values all this work and highlights a successful transfer case from university to business, from lab to market.  👏 Congratulations to all the winners and honorees: Verázial Labs, CalSens®, Kerionics, Corify, SCALE Nanotech, AirBiometrics, GreenE, Global Omnium. 🆕 In our commitment to continued #innovation and growth, we have achieved a breakthrough for the company.   #Matteco, together with leading Spanish manufacturer ARIEMA Energía y Medioambiente, has received EU Next Generation funding to deploy next generation technology in more efficient electrolyzers for #greenhydrogen.   The EMMA project has been awarded with a grant of €1.1 million by the Spanish government through its strategic recovery plan, PERTE, mobilizing a total of €1.4 million.   The joint work focuses on integrating our high performance components into a new generation of alkaline technology electrolyzers from ARIEMA ENERXIA SL , which will produce green #hydrogen more efficiently and at lower cost.   🗣 Iker Marcaide, co-founder & CEO of Matteco: "This collaboration shows that Matteco's nanotechnology is accelerating the arrival of a new generation of alkaline electrolyzers in which our components are key to their performance and efficiency".   🗣 Rafael Luque Berruezo, CEO of Ariema: “We have high expectations for Matteco's technology, a reliable partner that will allow us to make progress towards our goal of offering more and more efficient alkaline electrolyzers on a larger scale".   Thanks to the entire Ariema team! ☝ Challenge accepted! It was a great experience to present Matteco's latest innovations at Connecting Green Hydrogen Europe 2024. Gonzalo Abellán Sáez , our CTO and co-founder, presented our next generation technology at the Startup Challenge Hub hosted by H2UB.   Many thanks to the organizers for inviting us to participate alongside other top companies and for allowing us to show how something as small as catalysts and electrodes can lead to such a large reduction in the capex and opex of #greenhydrogen production.   Thanks also to the distinguished Advisory Board members for their assessment. There is phenomenal news! 🏆 We are overjoyed to announce that #Matteco has won the Decarb Connect Europe Next Gen Award, which recognises Europe's most innovative technologies for the #decarbonization of energy-intensive industries.   Our company received this recognition in the Alternative Fuels - Hydrogen, Wind and Solar, Biomass category at Decarb Connect Europe, a leading decarbonization industry event in Berlin.   👉 The jury appreciated the significant contribution Matteco's state-of-the-art catalysts, catalytic coatings and electrodes are making to transforming the economics of #greenhydrogen production and reducing its cost, the biggest challenge facing the sector.   Congratulations to other category winners Ardent and Cocoon and all finalists Luminescent RepAir Carbon Capture neustark.   Our sincere gratitude to Decarb Connect and the judging panel of European technology leaders and innovators.
