🌍 RAWMINA Project Consortium Meeting in Barcelona: Progress and Preparations for the Pilot Test Recently, the RAWMINA Project consortium gathered in Barcelona for their 42-month meeting. The first day took place at the Casa de la Convalescència, featuring an intensive conference focused on the latest advancements and the exploitation of the project's most relevant outcomes. This meeting was crucial as the team is now in the final stretch, with only six months remaining until the project's conclusion. ⏳ On the second day, participants visited the Leitat laboratories in Terrassa, where our colleagues Diego Morillo Martín and Joaquim Gispert Montserrat presented the technologies and equipment that Leitat brings to the project. 🧪🔧 We would like to express our gratitude to all consortium members for their participation and to the Leitat team for hosting the meeting. 🙏 ℹ️ About the project: RAWMINA Project aims to develop and demonstrate an innovative pilot system for the clean and sustainable production of non-energy, non-agricultural raw materials (RMs) in the EU from Mine Waste (MW) resources. 🚀 Successful ZeroF project Meeting in Bologna & Stakeholder Webinar   This month, ZeroF project partners met at the University of Bologna to review progress and set priorities for 2025. During the meeting, Leitat presented advancements in developing water and oil repellent PFAS-free coatings for textiles. While oil repellency is a significant challenge, our results are showing promising outcomes. 💧🛡️   The Stakeholder Webinar provided a platform for disseminating our project results and fostering valuable interactions among attendees. Key discussions highlighted research and industry challenges. 🤝✨   ℹ️ The ZeroF project addresses the environmental and health risks associated with PFAS, persistent chemicals found in everyday products like food packaging and textiles. Classified as Substances of Very High Concern by the European Union, PFAS are being phased out. ZeroF is developing PFAS-free coating technologies for packaging and textiles using non-toxic, renewable compounds within a Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework to reduce environmental impact by 25% while ensuring comparable performance. The project also includes a regulatory and certification roadmap to promote the adoption of these sustainable coatings. 🌱   If you missed the webinar, the recording will be available soon.
