Thank you Marcela Canal Coelho and W. Pal Sidhu for a wonderful inter-generational dialogue at New York University. As #GWLVoices we remain committed with achieving a gender-equal multilateral system and working with the younger generations is part of it. Susana Malcorra, carol bellamy, Catherine Bertini #HerTurn #MadamSecretaryGeneral #UNGA79
Last weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to moderate a panel with three remarkable women, Ms. carol bellamy, Ms. Catherine Bertini, and Ms. Susana Malcorra, at NYU. We engaged in a dynamic discussion about the outcomes of the Summit of the Future, reflecting on the UN's achievements and setbacks regarding this pivotal event. It was incredibly insightful to explore how international institutions must evolve to achieve gender parity, eradicate hunger, and strengthen community resilience. A significant topic was the importance of the next UN Secretary-General being a feminist woman and the challenges female candidates will face during the selection process. In addition, it was truly inspiring to learn more about the important work of GWL Voices, particularly in the Madam Secretary General campaign. Their efforts are essential for driving this much-needed change. I am deeply grateful to Professor W. Pal Sidhu for this incredible opportunity. I was honored to be part of such a powerful conversation with these brilliant women and my engaged colleagues.
