This July, the Chair has participated in the XXVIII International Congress of Project Management and Engineering, with 6 communications. 📖 📖 The papers presented have focused on improving #productivity in companies in the food sector through Lean methodology, digitization or product design using IA techniques in the food industry. AEIPRO - IPMA Spain Congress is considered an international forum for debate and exchange of ideas for professionals and companies related to Project Management and Engineering. The conference proceedings will be indexed in SCOPUS and all publications will also have DOI. 📚 In the same way, the Chair continues to promote the dissemination of studies on engineering in the agri-food industry. Thus, it has published a study on characterization of the agri-food sector to design alternative strategies for the management of food sustainability. This study by Luvis Paola Leon Romero, Francisco Zamora Polo, Amalia Luque Sendra, Misaela Francisco-Márquez and Mario Aguilar-Fernández, points out tools, such as the viable system model, to analyze the dynamics and generate the balanced scorecard, to which the items of learning and continuous improvement are added. We continue celebrating our 50th Anniversary of foundation showing the essence of our olive oils. 𝐎𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟕 𝐰𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐎 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐜𝐚𝐥á 𝐝𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐚í𝐫𝐚 (𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞, 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧).   More than fifty people from about twenty companies participated in the olive oil tasting course. The city of Santiago de Compostela, capital of Galicia, hosts on July 25, Autonomic Holiday, the most important celebration of the year, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨. This festival has been declared of International Tourist Interest.   The appearance of the mortal remains of the apostle Santiago originated the creation of the Galician capital, according to legend. Santiago de Compostela would soon become a holy city along with Jerusalem and Rome, and a center of pilgrimages, giving rise to the 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨 (𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞).   July 25th is the big day, but the festivities cover the whole second half of July with multiple exhibitions, theatrical performances, street shows and musical concerts.   At noon on the 24th, the bells of the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela announce what will happen that night. The Obradoiro square is filled with light and color in a show that transports the visitor to a magical world. The most amazing thing is the multidimensional projections on the Cathedral, which seems to come to life. In addition, it is tradition to burn a 𝐩𝐲𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞 that imitates the facade. Regional dances and bagpipe music are also part of the festivities. However, it is the one that contributes the most to the progress of the foreign sector of Spain as a whole. The Andalusian region represents 11.2% of national sales and a growth of 5.4%, compared to the decline of the other four major exporters in the ranking. 💹 💹   The excellent development of the Andalusian region is based on the diversification of exported products and on its two main export pillars: the aeronautical industry, up 84%, and olive oil, up 75%, both with record sales. This makes 𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬.   Goya España | Goya Spain was present at the conference as a reference in the export of extra virgin olive oil and olives from the Andalusian province of Seville to more than 20 international markets. The Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors and fishermen, is one of the most venerated Marian invocations in Spain, especially in coastal areas, where her feast day is celebrated on July 16 with colorful and emotional maritime processions. The maritime processions are a tribute to her protection over those who work at sea. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐜í𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚: The Virgen del Carmen is carried in a maritime procession through the sea in a decorated boat, accompanied by a flotilla of fishing and recreational boats. In addition, fairs, verbenas and fireworks are held. 𝐂á𝐝𝐢𝐳: 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞: The Virgin is taken to the sea in a procession that attracts thousands of devotees and tourists. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨: The land and sea procession is an emotional event with the image being taken to the port and embarked.
