    Earlier this month, we had the honor of presenting Glovo Access, at the first edition of the Young Talent Forum (Foro de Talento Joven) at the Costa Brava Hub in #Spain. Over 150 young individuals from 40 companies participated, sharing their innovative corporate initiatives and projects. The meeting was focused on projects that uplift 4 key areas: 🧘Well-being 👩🏼💻Professional Development 💡Purpose 🌱Sustainability At the event, Felipe Royo Oyaga and Patricia Higueras González were invited by the Princess of Girona Foundation (Fundación Princesa de Girona) to showcase Glovo Access, to King Felipe VI and Princess Leonor of Spain. Glovo Access is the offering of our technology for good, which provides logistics services and assistance to NGOs and Social Services, ensuring that essential goods are accessible for all, including the delivery of meals to those in need. So far in 2024, we’ve delivered 2.5 million meals through Glovo Access, helping us to increase the positive impact we have in the cities where we operate. #GlovoAccess #Glovo

    Last month in #Uganda 🇺🇬, we held a Courier’s Week, where over 100 couriers gathered for trainings on: 🦺Road Safety by SafeBoda 🫱🏼🫲🏾Customer Service by KFC 💰and Financial Literacy by MTN In addition to the training, we launched a new partnership with Zembo to provide #couriers with access to affordable electric motorcycles in Uganda. Regardless of the city, the country, or the frequency of connecting to the #Glovoapp, we organize events like these because we believe that couriers should have the opportunity to upskill with different platforms, courses, and training. A huge congrats to everyone who made this event possible! 🎉 #GlovoUganda

    Earlier this month, we hosted over 200 people from 45 brands across 8 different industries at our Retail Media Day event! 🚀 We were pleased to welcome attendees from leading brands such as The Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, Mars, Diageo, Unilever, Reckitt, and many others. During the event, we heard speeches from our CEO, Oscar Pierre, Glovo’s VP of Product, Daniel Alonso Moreno, the Director of Glovo Brands Ads, Rory O'Rourke, Paula Martinez, Co-Founder & CEO of Marvik, and more. We’re doubling down on retail media solutions for our partners, helping them to maximize their potential on our platform while getting closer to their customers through precise and effective advertising strategies.     A simple toggle switch reduced the use of single-use cutlery in our app. 🤔📱 With a dash of UX magic, we made a small tweak to a toggle switch that allowed users to request cutlery with their orders. Today, this toggle is off by default in the Glovo app, reducing waste and enhancing the user experience. Currently, nearly 50% of our orders are sent out cutlery-free, saving over 1,000 tons of plastic in 2024 so far, but we know we can do better. In honor of #PlasticFreeJuly, we're encouraging our users to forgo disposable cutlery in favor of reusable alternatives. Making a small change will collectively make a massive difference to our communities and the globe. So, the next time you order a #Glovo, make it cutlery free.🍴 #UX #UserExperience

    Technology plays a key role in promoting sustainability through the adoption of non-combustion vehicles, micro-mobility, and decarbonization efforts. 🌱As urban landscapes and the global population continue to grow, alongside increasing environmental concerns, the importance of utilizing technology effectively in the ecological transition is essential. One of our 2030 sustainability targets is for 67% of orders to be delivered by non-combustion vehicles, including bicycles or electric vehicles (EVs). 🚲 We believe that apps like ours 📱are uniquely positioned to improve life in cities; from helping customers make more informed decisions to optimizing order efficiency. We’re actively and consciously working to make a transition to electric vehicles. 🇭🇷 Croatia 🇭🇷 We’ve made it easier for local e-vehicle leasing companies to acquire more EVs. The biggest news from the day that we’re excited to share is that we’ve changed our company vision!     #Glovo may be present in 23 countries, but our heart is in #Spain. 🇪🇸⚽ Here’s how the final match played out compared to an average Sunday in 2024: Even if orders for Spanish food grew by 28% during the final, the category that saw the biggest growth was the Gourmet category, with a 181% increase on game day! Who says matches are just for junk food? 😋 🟥 No red cards here! In #Sevilla, one user loves pizza so much that they ordered nearly €350 of pizza at Grosso Napoletano before the match! Before and after the match, grocery orders were also on the rise, with a 25% increase before and 22% after the match. The food categories that had the biggest growth for the match are: 🍿 Snacks: 64%  🍩Sweets: 32%  🍦Ice Cream: 13% Congratulations to the #Spanish National Team on their recent #EuroCup2024 win! 🏆 #GlovoSpain
