Last week, in the context of Tech Catalyst Week, we hosted the ‘Spanish-Ukrainian Business Forum: New Horizons of Cooperation’ at #YellowPark in Barcelona. The event gathered over 200 participants and over  100 companies from 🇺🇦 #Ukraine and 🇪🇸 #Spain. The forum provided a platform for discussions on strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, the future of cooperation between our two countries, and business networking time. We’re honoured to have been part of making this event a success and to have hosted the Embassy of Ukraine, the City of Harkiv, as well as event partners Impact Hub Barcelona, ACCIÓ and Barcelona City Council As a Spanish company deeply committed to Ukraine, we're proud to play a role in fostering collaboration and driving economic growth. We remain dedicated to supporting Ukraine through various initiatives like the ‘Power Up Ukraine’ conference to foster economic investments, the Glovo Ukraine Start-up Lab, which we already celebrated two editions of, or partnering with UNITED24, as part of our commitment to the resilience and economic development of the country in these difficult times.

Over the last two weeks, we had the pleasure of partnering with Impact Hub Barcelona to deliver the best experience for the 16 startups participating in the second edition of Tech Catalyst Week at #YellowPark. Impact Hub collaborated to design a robust program that connects these entrepreneurs from #Morocco, #Ukraine, #Kyrgyzstan, and #Kazakhstan with Barcelona's vibrant ecosystem. 🌍 Together with Impact Hub, we facilitated: 🚀 External visits to key innovation hubs like Eurecat, Tech Barcelona, Norrsken, eWorks (Esade), and Preply, helping startups gain valuable local context and forge meaningful connections. 🚀 An insightful roundtable discussion with leaders like Jose Luis Ruiz de Munain (SpainNAB), Àurea Rodríguez (EIT Culture & Creativity), and Oriol Sans (ACCIÓ), covering impact investment, digital transformation, and startup scaling strategies. 🚀 A Pitch Day, where startups received feedback on their business ideas from impact investors at Ship2B Foundation and Impact Partners. 🚀 Personalized 1:1 mentorship sessions to dive deeper into each startup’s unique needs and growth potential. 🚀 A hands-on Impact Workshop on integrating impact into their business models using the "Theory of Change" framework, inspiring entrepreneurs to generate positive social and environmental impact. In the past two weeks, we had the pleasure of hosting 16 startups from #Ukraine 🇺🇦, #Kazakhstan 🇰🇿, #Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬, and #Morocco 🇲🇦 at #YellowPark for the second edition of Tech Catalyst Week. They had the opportunity to: 🚀 1 on 1 time with Glovo mentors, as we wanted to provide mentorship from established business leaders from Glovo 🚀 Connect with Glovo’s networks and Barcelona’s tech and startup ecosystem, to act as a bridge between the invited startups and local Venture Capital firms, accelerators and business schools 🚀 Pitch their ideas in front of potential investors 🚀 Attend different masterclasses As a former startup, we aim to foster entrepreneurship and contribute to the growth of the tech ecosystem across all our markets. It has been a pleasure to host these 16 amazing startups in #Barcelona and we’re looking forward to the third edition next year.

During the second edition of our Tech Catalyst Week, we welcomed founders from different startup accelerators from #Morocco. These founders have been able to engage in mentorship sessions, network, pitch their ideas, and explore ways to grow their businesses. As #EuropeanMobilityWeek concludes, we’re taking a moment to reflect on our progress towards sustainable urban mobility and our commitment to reducing CO2 emissions. 🛵 We’re moving forward on the electrification of the vehicle fleet: ✅ Advancing EV integration across multiple countries, including Italy, Croatia, and Nigeria. ✅ Launched new electric vehicle partnerships in Kenya and Uganda ✅ Expanded e-mobility solutions to five major cities in Romania These efforts bring us closer to our 2030 SBTi goal of delivering 67% of orders via non-combustion vehicles, contributing significantly to reducing urban CO2 emissions. In addition, we’ve made progress with route optimization, reducing CO2 emissions by 11K tonnes. We’re on track to optimize 30% of our routes by 2030, decreasing our environmental impact and boosting operational efficiency. In total, we’ve decreased 11.42% the carbon intensity per every Glovo order compared to 2020, and we keep working to improve our numbers. The milestones we’ve reached represent more than just numbers—we want to take part in reshaping urban mobility. But we’re just at the beginning of our journey. Moving forward, we’re already working on scaling these initiatives across more regions, refining our practices, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sustainable logistics. 🛣️🌱 #EMW2024 #SustainableMobility #FutureOfCities

This #ZeroEmissionDay we want to highlight the efforts we’ve been making since 2022, to reduce our environmental impact on our Micro Fulfilment Centers (MFCs). By doing strategic upgrades, and joining forces with ACCIONA, we’ve integrated renewable energy sources and optimized power usage for more efficient electrical consumption. Since the transition began, we’ve cut CO2 emissions by 1,140 tons and achieved energy savings of over 4,500MWh. 🔋 In addition to cutting emissions, we’re also making strides in reducing food waste. This year, only 1% of organic food has been discarded, thanks to our donation programs aimed at redistributing food surplus to local NGOs. We've also incorporated recycling systems for non-organic waste to further align with our sustainability goals. By connecting local efforts with our global goals, we’re making changes step by step towards a more sustainable future, not just by reducing emissions but also by embracing circularity. 🏙️
