FertigHy
Fabricación de productos químicos para agricultura
Decarbonize food value chain with low-carbon fertilizer
Sobre nosotros
FertigHy, a pan European company founded by EIT InnoEnergy, RIC Energy, MAIRE, Siemens Financial Services, InVivo and HEINEKEN, will pioneer the low-carbon transition of the European fertiliser industry. FertigHy aims to produce affordable and low-carbon fertilisers for European farmers, answering directly to the recent challenges of the EU and global food security due to supply chain disruption and global uncertainties in natural gas supply. FertigHy, which plans to build and operate several large-scale low-carbon fertiliser projects, will build, own and operate the first plants in France and Spain, and replicate it in other European countries. The plants will produce 500.000 metric tonnes per year of low-carbon nitrogen-based fertilisers with construction planned to start in 2027.

Decarbonizing the value chain. Step by step. Brique par brique. From seed to distribution, through green fertilizers, best agronomic practices and sustainable processing. It's probably not the easiest way to produce. But it's certainly the only way to slow down the dramatic degradation of our climate, our environment and our soils. Grafite is proud to belong to InVivo, a group that is reaffirming its commitments despite the current economic situation, and let’s even say because of it. It is now more than obvious that climate change is having a structural impact on agriculture, and more than obvious that we need to support and assist farmers in changing their practices. FertigHy is part of the solution. It's a step. Une brique. InVivo is part of this consortium which aims to produce and supply low-carbon fertilizers. Semons du Sens by InVivo is another step. Une autre brique. Which supports the implementation of agronomic practices that reduce carbon footprints, promote biodiversity and preserve water quality. Grafite is also a step. Une brique. 𝑁𝑜𝑡𝑟𝑒 brique. Cooperatives and farmers can count on our support. We'll help them “cope” with new carbon regulations, implement soil testing obligations, collect data. And we'll continue to supply our agri-food customers with low-carbon agricultural products so that they can meet their Scope 3 emissions commitments. Step by step. 𝐵𝑟𝑖𝑞𝑢𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑟 𝑏𝑟𝑖𝑞𝑢𝑒.

🚨 Strong Coalition with France Hydrogène, Hydrogen Europe, and Leading Industries united in an Open Letter to the EU Commission for the #LowCarbonDelegatedAct 🚨 Together with France Hydrogène, Hydrogen Europe, and several major #industries and associations, we have come together to urge the #EuropeanCommission to introduce a methodology that recognizes non-fossil PPAs in the upcoming #Low-Carbon Hydrogen Delegated Act. As leading players in the energy and industrial sectors we are asking the EU to ensure that the right framework is in place to scale up the European non-fossil hydrogen sector—a crucial step toward #decarbonizing and revitalizing our industries. This methodology will: ⚡ Ensure compliance with Article 194 TFEU ⚡ Support the launch of a European electrolytic value chain ⚡ Facilitate the transition toward a renewable hydrogen future The Delegated Act offers a unique opportunity to unlock Europe’s hydrogen potential, helping us meet our #climategoals while fostering innovation and competitiveness in a growing international market. Let's seize this moment! 🌍💧⚡ #LowCarbonHydrogen #LowCarbonFuture #CleanEnergy #EUClimateAction #Industry #Decarbonisation

🌞 Wishing You a Happy Summer from the FertigHy Team! 🌞 As the summer sun blazes with record-high temperatures, we at FertigHy want to remind everyone to stay safe and take necessary precautions to protect yourselves from the heat. This year's unprecedented heatwaves are a stark reminder that climate change is here to stay. 🌡️ According to the World Meteorological Organization, 2023 was the warmest year on record, with global average near-surface temperatures at 1.45°C above the pre-industrial baseline. The past decade has also been the warmest on record, highlighting the urgent need for climate action. The outlook for 2024 indicates that temperatures are expected to continue rising, potentially surpassing records set in previous years. The WMO has highlighted that there is an 80% chance that global average temperatures will exceed the 1.5°C threshold above pre-industrial levels at least once between now and 2028. At FertigHy, we are committed to accelerating the decarbonization of the agricultural sector through low-carbon fertilizers. We are committed to reducing CO2 emissions and promoting sustainable practices. We have a lot of work ahead, and we won't stop pushing forward to achieve our goals. And let's make this summer not just a time for relaxation, but also a time for reflection and action. Remember, if you go on vacation, make sure to travel sustainably. 🌱 Happy Summer from all of us at FertigHy! #HappySummer #ClimateChange #Sustainability #FertigHy #CO2Reduction #lowcarbonfertilizers
