EnerOcean S.L.'s CEO, Pedro Mayorga, receives the award of Blue Champion of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Investment Bank and the European Commission during the EIB's Adventure Debt Summit in Luxembourg on the 13 May 2024. As well as being a great honor for EnerOcean's Primavera full size demonstrator project in the Canary Islands to receive recognition of its innovation and competitiveness value at such an important and beautifully organized event, going forward, EnerOcean will also receive valuable advisory support to achieve financing from the European Investment Bank Advisory Services and its Projects Directorate for Innovation and Competitiveness. The article gives a snapshot of offshore and floating wind status in March 2024 and highlights current challenges in delivering the pipeline of projects required by policy priorities. Especially for floating wind, the years to 2030 are crucial because sufficient capacity must be deployed to demonstrate progress towards reaching cost targets.
