Eat Sleep Cycle was born in 2016 from two credit cards and a big dream. Of course, 8 years ago, everything that could go wrong, did… But we loved every minute of it! We’ve grown from those shaky early days into a thriving cycling community, and it’s all thanks to the passion for what we do and the people we’ve met along the way. Every challenge brought us closer to where we are today, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who’s been a part of this journey. To our team, our cycling community, and everyone who believes in us - THANK YOU! We couldn’t have done it without you. 🚵

Tourism has long been a lifeline for many communities across the globe. 🌏  But it’s not without its challenges…  Overcrowding, environmental damage, and a loss of local culture are all real concerns that arise when tour agencies don’t make environmental and social sustainability a priority. 🤔 So, what makes cycling tourism any different?  Let us explain... Firstly, cycling tourism is not about the crowds or rushing from one sight to the next. It’s about slowing down, truly immersing yourself in the journey, and appreciating the natural environment and local culture that surrounds you. Cycling tourism also brings lasting benefits to local communities: 👉 It supports rural economies and small businesses that are often overlooked by mass tourism.  👉 It helps sustain these communities, especially during the low season, when other forms of tourism slow down.  👉 It allows us to appreciate and preserve the beauty of a place, without overwhelming it. At Eat Sleep Cycle, we’ve witnessed these positive effects firsthand in tour areas like the remote desert towns of Morocco and the rugged Badlands.  Closer to home, in areas like Girona and Mallorca, cycling tourism has also been a game-changer—contributing millions to local economies annually, particularly in the off-season. ⭐️ Fun Fact: In Mallorca alone, cycling tourism accounts for around 2.1 million hotel nights and an estimated €200 million annually! 😲💰 This is the kind of tourism we stand for: one that connects people, supports communities, and protects the environment for generations to come. While our passion lies in creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our guests, we are committed to giving back to the areas we visit, which is why we continuously strive to do as much as we can, when we can. How do you think tourism can evolve to be more sustainable? Let us know in the comments. 👇

The Eat Sleep Cycle crew really knows how to push the limits! 😅 Roger and Ariel from our Tours team just wrapped up an epic gravel adventure from Nice to Torino during their summer holidays…  Not your average getaway! 😂 They camped under the stars, rode from sunrise to sunset (7 am to 7 pm every day!), and tackled more than 2000m of climbing on old military routes.  Oh, and they even rode the Via del Sale—an ancient route once used to bring salt from the sea to the mountains in the 1800s. How cool is that?! 😯  When asked how their trip went, they said: "Great scenery, great food, great times, what else can you ask for?" These are the stories that make the cycling community so special.  We’re incredibly proud to work with people who live and breathe adventure every day. 💛🌍

Here’s why you should consider a self-guided tour for your next adventure… 👇 1️⃣ Support When You Need It With a self-guided holiday, you can choose the level of support that suits you best. Whether you’d like your hotel bookings and routes sorted, your bags transported, or even dinner reservations made, it’s all tailored to what you need. And if you ever run into any trouble, help is just a phone call away! 2️⃣ Total Freedom No set schedules, no strict itineraries—just the freedom to explore at your own pace. You can choose to cycle from one place to another or stay at a single location and decide on your daily route. The choice is yours! 3️⃣ Save a Little Extra Self-guided doesn’t always mean cheaper, but it can be! If you’re confident riding without full support from a vehicle or guides, you can personalise your trip to fit your budget. 4️⃣ Immerse Yourself in Local Culture Want to brush up on your Spanish? A self-guided cycling holiday is perfect for that. You’ll be ordering tapas and chatting with locals in no time. 😅 Plus, doing more of the day-to-day yourself means you’ll have more authentic encounters and maybe even make a new friend or two! 5️⃣ Your Destination, Your Dates Self-guided tours can be customised to any Eat Sleep Cycle destination, at any time of the year. We’re here to recommend the best seasons and routes, but the final call is yours. 🔗 If this sounds like your kind of adventure, check out our range of incredible self-guided tours at https://lnkd.in/dEy3FCWq

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting an insightful discussion on the future of cycling retail with industry leaders and innovators. Our speakers—Lee Comerford, Cristóbal Pérez, Simon Cox, and Louise Laker—shared their expertise and vision for 2025. We were also joined by top brands like Wilier USA, Isadore Apparel, and CHPT3, as well as influencers such as Path Less Pedaled, who all contributed to shaping the conversation around evolving consumer demands, sustainable business models, and the future of cycling culture. Events like these are invaluable for connecting, learning, and collectively shaping the direction of our industry. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the day a success! 🙌 📹 Check out some highlights from the event below…👇
