🎤 Last week, our colleagues Javier Ulecia, Miguel Del Canizo and Jorge Fernandez Quesada attended Transfiere, in Málaga. At the event, they were lucky enough to discuss several aspects related to the intricate world of tech transfer, along with some of the foremost experts of the topic. 🔭 Transferring technologies to create fast-growing deep-tech companies is far from trivial, and it requires the close collaboration of several stakeholders (universities, research groups, investors, government, etc.), whose goals might not be aligned. 🤝 We need to keep working together to ensure we can set up good practices so that engineers and scientists can turn their research into actionable products and solutions that make a lasting impact, not only for the sake of curiosity, but for society as a whole. PS: shout-out and congrats to AGPhotonics, as they made it all the way through to the finals of the IV Open Call for Deep-Tech Start-ups

Earlier this week, we had the chance to attend the Photonics Integration Week at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), organized by the always welcoming Pascual Muñoz and his team. As sponsors of the event, we were lucky to be part of one of the most significant gatherings of the close-knitted and friendly integrated photonics community in our country. It was two full days packed with interesting talks, including many by our portfolio companies (shout-out to Quside, Bioherent, AGPhotonics, FYLA ∞ We Laser The New Industry, LeapWave Technologies and KDPOF, Knowledge Development for POF, SL).
