Needs & Expectations - The two most powerful warriors in any battle for gaining the final goal. In regards to this I just remember the story of Alice in the land of wander : advice from Cat on the crossing roads - "If you don't have an idea where you want to arrive, then any road you take is OK. But if we know what our goal is ( Needs & Expectations) then easy we choose the right road. Keep going on the right road my friends 🤗🙏🏻🌞💯

Most importantly, you must have a thorough understanding of the content of your presentation. The better your understanding, the more interactive and high-quality your communication will be. You will be able to talk with more confidence, use language that the majority of the audience understands, and keep you audience more interested in listening.

Partly agreed & partly differ as sometimes we can grab attention of some topic on which the audience is not interested at all by visual engagement...nobody knows which knowledge & know how will be important in their life in future...Although it's the best way to know audience prior the presentation but similarly the content should be rich & penetrative to attract the engagement & inviting audience entanglement to add value in that.

Innovation meets Commercialization, measuring our success one customer success at a time
Two quick thoughts on how to effectively present concepts from a critical thinking perspective: remember what constitutes a “win” and do not be a slave to your slides. What do you want your audience to leave your presentation remembering? A first pass of a presentation may only leave your audience remembering two or three central points so make those points count, while trying to stay out of being too technical, too deep, otherwise your audience will lose track of what your message is. Then watch your audience for feedback clues, body language, and if you still have their attention. If your audience is slipping from the key points, stop and use your deck of slides as references, not something you are just working to get through in time.

When structuring my content, I start by presenting the big picture. This involves outlining the ultimate goal, the steps to achieve it, and the potential hurdles we might encounter. After setting this context, I dive into each step and hurdle in detail, treating each as a distinct section of the presentation. I regularly refer back to the big picture to remind the audience of our overall progress and direction. This approach keeps everyone oriented within the larger framework, using the big picture as our map and the detailed steps as our journey. This method ensures that the audience knows where they are in the broader context, enhancing comprehension and retention.

Knowing your target audience is key to structuring an impactful presentation. A simple structure (introduction, development, conclusion) is effective, but to go further: 1.- Capture attention with a catchy opening hook. 2.- Maintain interest by introducing yourself (if formal) and contextualizing your idea. 3.- Offer a message or moral for reflection. 4.- Finish with a call to action and introduce yourself if you haven't already.

I consider using a good structure is a must. It helps your audience predict how your speech will go and what they expect to listen. I always make use of an overview slide that shows my agenda. People feel encouraged with a good organization rather than listening to random talks. It shows that you have put some effort before coming to them. It shows that you respect your audience and you know what to say. Of course, there might be some room for improvisation, but this be also predetermined before coming to your audience.

Use infographics to present data effectively. Ensure the visuals are clear and easily understood, even by a layperson. Here's how to achieve this: a. Understand the Need: Identify the purpose and the specific information to be conveyed. b. Emphasize Importance: Highlight how the data plays a crucial role in supporting business decisions. c. Adopt a Minimalistic Approach: Keep the design simple and avoid clutter to ensure the information is easily absorbed and actionable.

Poster boards have their time, place, and purpose, but when attempting to establish credibility, speakers need to think critically about the impressions each visual aid imparts on the audience.

A picture is worth a thousand of words. When giving a presentation, take into your consideration that you need to visually capture your audience attention. Nobody wants to talk to disconnected audiences. It is a way to trigger some emotions and provoke thoughts. Always use high quality visual aids representing your ideas clearly as this shows your care for your audience. It helps them digest the information while being engaged and perhaps entertained.

One way I use to engage my audience critically is by challenging famous quotes or by twisting them to pose some questions. This is an effective way of thought provoking. It teases your audience to opt out passive listening and to delve into some reflection. People come to your presentation with their minds full of thoughts of their own daily things that could make them not fully present at the moment. It’s the speaker’s job to arouse their curiosity.

When someone has a thought or a counterpoint they are eager to bring up, it makes it very hard for them to listen from then on out. When someone wants to say something, they are no longer actively listening. Having the foresight to address common counter arguments, therefore, not only makes your argument stronger, but it also re-engages your audience to listen to the rest of your presentation.

Practice is essential so your delivery is easy for the audience to consume. As a presenter, you are like a storyteller. You might have an interesting story to tell, but how you deliver that story is crucial. Your delivery should be engaging and smooth, captivating your audience and making the content accessible and memorable. By the time you present to your actual audience, you'll be well-prepared and able to convey your message effectively, just like a skilled storyteller.

Practice effectively by recording yourself appropriately depending on the type of presentation you are giving. If you are speaking virtually, time yourself and record your voice. This will allow you to gauge if you are speaking too fast, too slow, using too many filler words, etc. From there, you can isolate your issues and make improvements much easier. If you are speaking live, time yourself and record a video of you speaking. When speaking live, you need to take into account that your body language and physical presence is just as important as what you’re speaking about. Great speakers add hand gestures and maintain good posture to appear more confident and natural.

After each presentation, always spare some time to reflect on your experience. Understand what went well, what needs improvement and never stop learning. As a critical thinker you might question the effectiveness of your delivery. Were you elaborate enough on what you wanted to explain? Also, opt for guaging some feedback from your audience. Reflect on moments when you garnered audience attention and also understand that it is ok to be imperfect. Most importantly, is to be genuine and show your true self.

Feedback is necessity for your growth. However, more important is who you’re asking for feedback. Make sure to be selective about who to ask for feedback. Choose a coach who has the results you want and ask them for feedback. Find a trusted colleague or friend who you respect and ask their feedback. Do not just ask random people for feedback. You need constructive feedback.

Never forget Accessibility. Don't just focus on content. Delivery and accessibility are just as important. It doesn't matter how good your content is if no one can actually understand it. Use Dyslexic friendly fonts, describe your slides out loud, keep to colors that read well and contrast without being too outrageous, keep effects minimal or calm, Make sure words are large enough to read. Provide the slides directly or share access so people can go at their own pace or go back and review afterwards. Make sure your voice can reach everyone without being overwhelmingly loud or too soft, enunciate clearly, test any microphones or speakers in advance to minimize feedback.

As a multicultural person I assure you different cultures and different countries have different ways of thinking and expressing themselves. When you are presenting to the wide range of cultures, make sure you understand cultural differences. Keep your presentation clear and understandable by all. Back up your presentation by strong clear facts. Avoid personal opinions and emotional statements. As a non native English speaker, my teachers had a hard time in years to teach me how to think like English speakers before being able to write like one. The best examples to show this differences are jokes. Jokes never sound good when you translate them.
