Karl PEARSON membro de la RSL kaj de la RSE[1] ([ˈ|p|ɪər|s|ə|n]; denaske Carl Pearson; 27a de Marto 1857 – 27a de Aprilo 1936[2]) estis angla matematikisto kaj biostatistikisto. Oni konsideris, ke estis li kiu establis la fakon de matematika statistiko.[3][4] Li fondis la unuan universitatan statistikan departementon de la mondo en la University College London en 1911, kaj ege kontribuis al la fakoj biometrio kaj meteologio.
