[edit]Noun
[edit]viri
- (proscribed) plural of virus
Usage notes
[edit]In historical Latin usage, virus was apparently a singulare tantum with no plural form attested. In New Latin, the plural is formed as vira rather than viri or the still more erroneous virii.
