[edit]From Proto-Finnic *polvi, from Proto-Uralic *polwe. Cognate of Estonian põlv, Ter Sami puvvl, Erzya пуляза (puľaza), куманжа (kumanža)[1] and Moksha пълманжа (pəlmanža).
