[edit]From grec -esc. Possibly corresponds to a Vulgar Latin *graeciscus or Old Church Slavonic грьчьскъ (grĭčĭskŭ). Compare Aromanian gãrtsescu/grãtsescu, Old French grezois, and Russian греческий (grečeskij).
