[edit]Etymology
[edit]Probably from Greek φλάμμουρος (flámmouros). Was thought to be from Latin flammula, diminutive of flamma, but it is less likely that it was an inherited or popular word. Compare also the Albanian cognate flamur and Aromanian flãmburã, which probably come from the same Greek source.
Noun
[edit]flamură f (plural flamuri)
