  1. (intransitive) to look in (to take a glance from the outside to the inside) (into something -ba/-be, -n/-on/-en/-ön)
    Elmentem az üzlet előtt, és benéztem.I walked past the store and looked in.
    Benéztem az ablakon.I looked through the window (from the outside).
    Az ablakon benézett a hold.The moon looked in the window.
  2. (intransitive, colloquial) to stop by, drop by (to pay a visit briefly) (to someone -hoz/-hez/-höz)
    Benézek holnap.I'll stop by tomorrow.
