This spelling is much more common than Thổ Nhĩ Kì despite overall spelling reforms by the Vietnam Ministry of Education. Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ is preferred by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both Vietnam and Turkey.[1][2]
