@Lingo Bingo Dingo Well, so first of all, the word wasn’t inherited to Ido, as “malklara” was the original Ido word up until 1909/10. In 1909, they acknowledged and argued that “malklara” was to vague and could be attributed other meanings, so they proposed to adopt a fresh “obskura” based on EFIS. Everyone decided unanimously to adopt the word later on in the book, and there were no mentions of Esp. If you argue that they knew that it was in (small) use in Esp. prior to that, I doubt it, and I doubt they cared. — Algentem (talk) 18:13, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
