I could only find one. Kiwima (talk) 02:39, 13 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I would love if we did that too, but it does not meet our current criteria. Perhaps this is an issue to bring up at BP. Kiwima (talk) 00:27, 7 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

An excellent list but surely trap and coffeetini should be stricken from it as they recently passed? (though cade should be added). Overlordnat1 (talk) 01:48, 7 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for making me aware, I've missed those. — Fytcha T | L | C 02:03, 7 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Kiwima I don't think it's true that our current WT:ATTEST policy doesn't allow use of dialect and similar dictionaries (with "real" usage examples). It is our practice, our interpretation of the policy. For both of the sources I referred to there are usage examples in durably archived media (books), with multiple authors/speakers (quotees). In the case of DARE, but not typical dialect dictionaries, there are dates for the usage examples. In the cases of dialect dictionaries and sources like Notes and Queries the date of publication of the volume or issue seems adequate to me. Whether we should choose to accept multiple undated examples from a single dialect dictionary depends on our assessment of the integrity of the editor/collector of the citations. Fine. My problem has always been that many of these sources don't clearly distinguish between a quote and a ux. But please, add the citations, and let's see. Kiwima (talk) 20:56, 7 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
