Etymology

From Cornish Lannanta, from lann Anta (church-site of Anta), from Proto-Brythonic *llann (churchyard).[1] Anta was a Cornish saint, whose name was transcribed by Cornish historian Charles Henderson as British Latin Anta, Ansa.[2]
