  1. (frequentative suffix) Added to an onomatopoeic (sound-imitative) root to form a verb to indicate repetitive action. No longer productive. It is used only in a few words.
    tudakol (to ask, query, inquire)

    -kol is added to back-vowel words
    -kel is added to unrounded front-vowel words
    -köl is added to rounded front-vowel words
    -ákol is added to some other back-vowel words
    -ékol is added to yet other back-vowel words
    -ékel is added to unrounded front-vowel words
