  1. (personal conditional suffix) Forms the second-person singular present tense of verbs (conditional mood, definite conjugation).
    segít (to help)-enéd → ‎segítenéd (you would help)
    Segítenéd a munkánkat, ha válaszolnál a levelünkre.You would help our work if you answered our letter.

  • (personal conditional suffix) Variants:
    -nád is added to most back-vowel verbs
    vár (to wait)-nád → ‎várnád (you would wait)
    -néd is added to most front-vowel verbs
    kér (to ask)-néd → ‎kérnéd (you would ask)
    -anád is added to back-vowel verbs ending in two consonants or in a long vowel t (exceptions: áll, száll, varr, forr, lát)
    mond (to say)-anád → ‎mondanád (you would say)
    tanít (to teach)-anád → ‎tanítanád (you would teach)
    -enéd is added to front-vowel verbs ending in two consonants or in a long vowel t
    fest (to paint)-enéd → ‎festenéd (you would paint)
