From ตี (dtii, “to attack”) ลังกา (“Laṅkā”, a mythological city in Rāmāyaṇa), literally “to attack Laṅkā”, influenced by the actions of the monkey soldiers of King Rāma when attacking the city of Laṅkā in the Hindu epic Rāmāyaṇa.[1]
