I'm Kyoko, a 20-something woman from Montreal who currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. My father's from Japan, and my mother's from Quebec, and I am proud of my combined heritage. I speak English very fluently, French pretty fluently, and Japanese very badly.
I've been a registered user of Wikipedia since January 2006. I contribute almost entirely to English Wikipedia, though sometimes I also contribute to the French and Simple English Wikpedias. I anticipate translating poetry to supplement my work at Wikipedia. There is a wealth of French poetry that, to my knowledge, has never been translated into English. I don't think I'm all that great at translating, but even a mediocre translation is of more use to someone than a text that is completely incomprehensible. My current project can be seen here, and another project is here.
I try to do the right thing, so if you feel that I have hurt your feelings or made a mistake, please tell me. — Kyoko
