GEORGIA

Beginning at the interchange with present US 29 and State Route 350 northeast of Athens, thence westerly over SR 350 (new four-lane divided facility) to an interchange with present US 129 northwest of Athens. (A future extension of this new location for US 29 in a southwesterly direction is under construction and when completed, a request for marking that section will be submitted.) |

The Executive Committee declined to assign a new US Route number to the section covered by the application, and offered the suggestion that the Tennessee Department of Highways drop the marking of US 70N between Nashville and Lebanon and US 70S between Sparta and Crossville and substitute US 70 between Nashville and Lebanon and install US 70 on the section covered by this application (State Route 26) between Lebanon and Sparta and former US 70S between Sparta and Crossville. |

WASHINGTON-OREGON
For the reason that the standards are inadequate and that it had been previously rejected on the same grounds, with no additional information showing change in the standards in effect on the section in question. |
(Washington Section) Beginning on US Route 410 at the Washington-Idaho State line, then westerly on US 410 via Clarkston, Pomeroy, Dodge, Delaney, Dayton, Waitsburg, Walla Walla, Touchet, Pasco and Kennewick to State Route 8, thence south and west over SR 8 via Plymouth, Paterson and Roosevelt to US Route 97 south of Goldendale then south on US Route 97 to US Routes 197 and 830 at Maryhill Junction, thence westerly over US Routes 830-197 via Wishram to junction with US 830-197 near the Dalles Dam, thence continue westward over US 830 via White Salmon, North Bonneville and Camas to US Route 99 in Vancouver. |
For the reason that there is no agreement between the two states involved, which will permit a continuous routing and for the further reason that the matter had been rejected previously. |
(Oregon Section) Beginning on the Oregon-Washington State line on US Routes 395-730 approximately 6 miles southwest of Wallula, Washington, thence southwesterly over US Routes 395-730 to Cold Spring, thence continue westerly over US 730 via Umatilla and Irrigon to Interstate 80N (US 30) east of Boardman. |
SOUTH DAKOTA-NORTH DAKOTA
For the reason that there would be many miles of double marking over a US route of a lower number and no apparent need for such double marking is evident. |
(South Dakota Section) Beginning at the northern terminus of present US 385 at its junction with US 85 at Plume, thence northerly over US 85 via Deadwood, Spearfish, Belle Fourche, Redig, Buffa and Ludlow to the South Dakota-North Dakota State line. |

MISSOURI
It was the action of the Executive Committee after a report by the Route Numbering Subcommittee, that the numerology of the Interstate System, as presently adopted and approved, not be altered. |
The Missouri State Highway Commission has requested that Interstate Route 44 in Missouri be redesignated as Interstate Route 66. Discussion of General Principle involved, States of Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California also would be affected. |
