Fixing code to proper syntax highlighting

[edit]

This page uses some pretty archaic and out of scope syntax highlighting. We should look to update to use mw:Extension:SyntaxHighlightbillinghurst sDrewth 02:36, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

"Remove end-of-line hyphens and line breaks"

[edit]

Help:Beginner's guide to proofreading#Optional says this is optional, and I think it actually makes sense to leave the original line breaks to make it easier to find your place while proofreading. "Webpages will normally ignore single linebreaks, so text broken into different lines … will be seen normally by a reader. Line breaks can cause problems … but removing them is a matter for the individual proofreader." — Omegatron (talk) 12:39, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Leaving the original line breaks in can also cause problems in multiple situations. This isn't the place to suggest a site-wide change to editing practices. --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:27, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
