Maggie Chapman
Maggie Chapman (born 27 June 1979) is a Scottish politician and lecturer who is a Scottish Green Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for North East Scotland. She was co-convenor of the Scottish Greens from November 2013 to August 2019, serving with Patrick Harvie. She was the lead Green candidate for the North East region at the 2021 Scottish Parliament election, and was elected as one of eight Green MSPs.

- Wadhwa is a transwoman without a gender recognition certificate, and is therefore legally male. The post at the ERCC was advertised as requiring applicants to be biological women. Such appointments can be made with this distinction. Wadhwa resigned in September 2024 after a Rape Crisis Scotland report found Wadhwa had not managed to "behave professionally" while CEO of the ERCC.

- An untransitioned trans women Isla Bryson (born Adam Graham) was convicted in Glasgow of raping two women (at the time of the crimes, the offender was unquestionably male), but began to identify as a woman after being charged. After conviction in January 2023, Bryson was briefly placed in a women's prison while awaiting sentence.
