- Can you fix the template to replicate what the old one did? The new one makes it look like Germany disappeared between 1948 and 1992. The template should at least link to the three teams that competed for Germany during the intermediate period. In fact, I do not understand the separation made between the teams - why is modern "Germany" the same as the "German Reich" but not the same as "West Germany", but that is probably not your fault. Kusma (討論) 15:01, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. I'll see what I can do to show the progression of how Germany competed at the Olympics. Basically, the new infoboxes are organized around the IOC country code. In Germany's case, the IOC uses "GER" for the pre-WWII nation, then EUA for the United Team of Germany that competed 1956-1964, then FRG and GDR for the independent teams from 1968-1988 and finally, GER again for the post-reunification Games. The new template shows the two GER periods, but omits the in-between years. I'll figure out a way to put that back in. Andrwsc 16:51, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Well-intentioned split of {{Mortal Kombat series}}. However, it was rejected by the WikiProject, and I've updated the series template to (more or less) recombine the two templates. The media template can get the axe, with nothing but love. EVula 17:08, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Need to merge into {{zh-ts}} because they both are about the same with minor differences. I added {{tfm}} some weeks ago, but I did not make enough attention for merge proposal. Gh87 05:06, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. I believe these two templates exist because of regional preferences for Simplified Chinese characters v. Traditional Chinese characters. I consider their differing use to be analogous to the situation with regional varieties of English used in articles. Merging these templates is bound to piss off one side or the other. Also, you don't specify which order of "t" and "s" you would propose become standard. Mike Dillon 06:18, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Keep and do not merge, does no harm, better to be able to specify the ordering than to force PRC-related articles to have Traditional Chinese characters first. Kusma (討論) 15:09, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

- Weak Keep The information was recently split from Wikibooks, which is plenty notable. I think this would be a good time to ignore the rules; the content itself doesn't become less notable just because it jumps from one wiki to another. EVula 18:11, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- keep your personal opinions on wether the site is notable or not do not justify deleting these templates. After the game-guide expulsion from Wikibooks, the data was moved to WikiKnowledge as opposed to [www.strategywiki.org StrategyWiki] (the site that this says they "should" be at). WikiKnowledge may be .net, but it uses the wikimedia software and it counts as a sister project in my book in it's mission and method. and templates to link wiki projects are allowed. -Zappernapper 06:19, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- I included "and other wikis" in the Wikibooks article. Peter O. (Talk) 01:32, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. EVula is correct. The move from Wikibooks to WikiKnowledge is an issue that affects those projects. That move should not affect whether the information is notable enough to stay in Wikipedia. Nightwatch/respond 23:28, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
