The consensus from a previous RfD was to delete these sorts of length measurement redirects that point to a process article with a different number. I believe these are the rest of the redirects fitting that description, and I propose these be deleted as well. Mdewman6 (talk) 23:20, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Poison pill amendment
[edit]

- The result of the discussion was keep. clpo13(talk) 20:53, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Poison pill amendment → Wrecking amendment (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
I believe this more typically refers to Rider (legislation) rather than its current target. Many "rider" amendments are not added to bills necessarily with the hope of getting legislation enacted that would not pass on its own, but rather as a "poison pill" to attempt to force supporters of the original bill to no longer be able to support it (or in the U.S., force a veto of the entire bill). Therefore I suggest retargeting to Rider (legislation). Mdewman6 (talk) 19:12, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Keep The current target mentions the phrase as an alternate name; the proposed target does not mention the phrase at all. I don't see a reason to retarget. Mlb96 (talk) 06:50, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
- Keep a rider is something tacked on to a bill with the hope that the rider passes. A poison pill is tacked on to a bill with the hope that the entire bill fails, as discussed at Wrecking amendment. User:力 (powera, π, ν) 01:09, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- Caveat my response is regarding United States English; the differences between US and UK English on topics of parliamentary procedure are so vast (the simplest example being the word "table" having opposite meanings) that it might be simplest to find a French phrase to use as the title. - ΛVP: Alien vs. Predator → Alien vs. Predator (film) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete Yes, the typography in this film excludes the horizontal bar from the capital A. But it is not appropriate to have this redirect, which uses the capital Greek letter lambda, only because they appear the same, given that the film has nothing related to lambda or any other letter in the Greek alphabet. Note there are a handful of other redirects that have this same issue, which I plan to nominate if this one reaches consensus to delete. UnitedStatesian (talk) 16:36, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete: The film's title does not actually include a Greek letter. Instead, the appearance of use is merely the result of the font that its title uses. ―Susmuffin Talk 16:46, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was retarget to Tabley Superior. clpo13(talk) 20:58, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
A link to a DAB page where the place in listed without the required WP:DABMENTION. Linked in B roads in Zone 5 of the Great Britain numbering scheme. Not mentioned in List of places in Cheshire. Delete, to encourage article creation if justified. Narky Blert (talk) 12:50, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Delete: This redirect could plausibly have its own article. ―Susmuffin Talk 16:42, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

- "Latromirus" → Latromirus (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Leftover redirect from when Xus was accidentally moved to "Latromirus" (with quotes) before being moved to the correct Latromirus (without quotes) 90 minutes later. No value in keeping this. It didn't qualify for a WP:R3 speedy deletion because it resulted from a page move. TJRC (talk) 04:12, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- "Delete" per nom. Ever since that move, "it doesn't get very many pageviews compared to its target." Regards, "SONIC678" 05:10, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Stop the Spread
[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was restore and move to Stop the Spread (Florida). Any editor may send this to WP:AFD. (non-admin closure) feminist ( ) 02:18, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
- Stop the Spread → Florida Department of Health (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
The phrase "stop the spread" has been used in many public health campaigns (especially in recent times), not just Florida or the US. —AFreshStart (talk) 00:12, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Comment the particular campaign also wasn't notable, so that was my ATD solution. Not sure how these are handled in terms of attribution, but am not fussed what happens to the redirect. Ping me if it's deleted and I need to take action with regard to the article content. Star Mississippi 00:53, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Revert and send to AfD. Search results relate to stopping the spread of fire, Covid-19, the 1918 Flu, Protestantism, evil, nuclear weapons, HIV/AIDS, a deadly magical fog, Manchurian plague, Ebola, Taliban violence, Influenza A subtype H5N8, slavery, democracy, and probably many other things. However RfD should not be used to delete article content, so if you think the campaign is not notable send it to AfD. There is an article Stop the Spread (Ireland) (which relates to obesity), which should be hatnoted at the target and, iff the AfD results in deletion, then moved to this title. Thryduulf (talk) 01:32, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not active much in RfD. Would it be appropriate to close this and go back to AfD now, or wait seven days? No issue with doing so, just not sure how to proceed. Star Mississippi 23:55, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Star Mississippi: if @AFreshStart has no objections then I'd suggest the following:
- Close the RfD with consensus to revert to an article
- Restore the article content
- Move the page to something like Stop the Spread (Florida)
- Replace the resulting redirect at Stop the Spread with a disambiguation page listing Stop the Spread (Florida), Stop the Spread (Ireland) and anything else @Crouch, Swale (or anyone else) thinks should be there, and updating any incoming links.
- Optionally, nominate Stop the Spread (Florida) for deletion at AfD in the usual manner, pinging participants in this discussion. Thryduulf (talk) 15:19, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clear step by step. @AFreshStart let me know if you're good with @Thryduulf's plan of action and I'll proceed (with the possible exception of 4, I'm not sure I know all the steps on that. Thanks again. Star Mississippi 17:53, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Star Mississippi: if @AFreshStart has no objections then I'd suggest the following:

- Revert and send to AfD per Thryduulf. A WP:BLAR is not a good WP:ATD if there is no mention of the redirected term at the target, and BLAR RfD is not an acceptable backdoor to AfD. Mdewman6 (talk) 22:45, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- I support Thryduulf's proposed plan above. Mdewman6 (talk) 19:24, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- It should probably be a DAB page but the history should be moved to a qualified title first. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:27, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- I endorse Thryduulf's plan, and thank him for writing it up so I didn't have to. User:力 (powera, π, ν) 01:15, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
