Boulder is conveniently close to Denver (and well-connected by bus!) and the home of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Since we're really close to Denver, you might want to swing by Denver meetups as well.

- Anything to do with the Junius Henderson Field Notebook Project -- see his photographs of Colorado or his (partially transcribed) field notebooks. Two of the five people who worked on this project live in Boulder and have attended previous meetups.

- Thomas MacLaren, a prominent architect from Colorado Springs [1]
- Dana Kavanagh Bailey: "Dr. Dana Kavanagh Bailey [(1916-1999)], scientist and explorer, was a man with encyclopedic knowledge. His wide-ranging interests embraced the study of physics, botany, astronomy, and many other topics, including polar exploration. He was in the U.S. Antarctic Service in 1940-41 and later settled in Colorado, working in the local scientific community until his retirement. Additional information is available from Special Collections."
- Hal Sayre: "An experienced railroad and canal engineer, Hal Sayre (1835-1926) came to Colorado during the gold rush. He was one of the founders of the town of La Porte, and with his partner Ed Parmelee established a surveying office in Central City. In 1872 he became deputy mineral surveyor for the state of Colorado. In 1885 he moved to Denver and became involved in banking but maintained his Central City interests. During the early years of Colorado, Sayre had served as engineer with the Colorado Militia and served with the 3rd Colorado volunteers at the Sand Creek Massacre in 1864. - J. Raymond Brackett: "J. Raymond Brackett (1854-1922) came to the University of Colorado in 1884 as a professor of English and Greek. Before he retired in 1919, he had served as Librarian, Dean of Arts and Sciences, and Dean of the Graduate School. Additional information is available from Archives."
