This file fails to meet our WP:NFCC policy. Specifically, it does not meet point three, section a as multiple non-free files are being used when one would suffice. This file is not significantly different from the main cover to justify its use; the only difference between this alternate album cover from the main album cover is color. — ξ ^xplicit 06:56, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - and it fails WP:NFCC#1 coz it's replaceable with text describing the colour, WP:NFCC#8 coz reader's are not going to lack understanding by inability to see two different colour covers, and WP:NFCC#10c because the rationale is the usual cookie-cutter album cover one that is simply wrong for this (secondary) image. I think this image qualifies as "derivative work" due to it being fanart rather than official art. See [1]. Images like this aren't free use. Also, it really has no purpose in this article that a gameplay screenshot couldn't show. _{ZXCVBNM (TALK)} 23:04, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This image is of my own personal property. Yes, I have an arcade machine in my house. I don't know what policies we have specifically dealing with "fan art" but the image belongs to me, and I have released under terms consistent with Wikipedia licensing. The purpose in adding it to the article (which I'm not certain is really relevant here) was to demonstrate the cult following this game series has achieved with NeoGeo fans. The thing is, owning an object with an image on it does not mean you have license to reproduce that image. A photograph of a copyrighted picture, even on the side of something you own, is a derivative work of a copyrighted work and thus is subject to the same copyright. It would need to be in line with our Non-free content criteria to be used. I have no idea what "fan art" vs "official art" has to do with anything though, either way there is a copyright implied that is not likely compatible with our free content. ^Chillum 23:25, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm honestly not sure about this, I am going to relate the entire story for clarification. This machine used to be here. It got old, half the buttons weren't working, and there were cigarette burns on the keypad. The local vending machine guy sold it to a friend of mine. This friend overhauled the machine, replacing the buttons and the screen, and sent they keypad off to an airbrush artist to do a custom paint job on it. Later, this friend needed some cash, and some extra space in his house because was soon going to be a father, so he sold the machine to me. Since he commissioned an original work of art, and then sold it, I figure that means it is mine. However since it is obviously based on characters and weapons from the game, uh, well, uh, crap I just don't know what it's fair use/copyright status might be. Oh... Well if it was indeed a work for hire then the copyright would go to the person who hired the artist, and if that person gave it to you then the only issues would be the reproduction of the actual characters and weapons of the game.
