  • Zoot Review by Spawn Man - Hi there Cuddly Panda, I'm glad you gave me this chance to comment on your editing. Firstly, I think you are doing a great job in upgrading the computer game genre which is in deperate need of attention. However, there are some areas in which you need to improve. Firstly, the understanding of image lisencing & fair use rationale - Generally, you should avoid using fair use images unless absolutely needed to express the subject matter. But if you do actually use a fair use image, always include fair use rationale on the image page. I gave you examples on your user talk page and you should become aquainted with the Fair use rationale guideline page. Especially when you are working with screenshots and logos from computer games, you need to know how to use rationale and what to do. Included in this is the Portal:Jurassic Park. It relies heavily on fair use images and they don't have any fair use rationale. You need to fix this. Secondly, you need to use an edit summary more often. I checked your edit summary usage, and it had to search back through 2000 edits to find summaries. You are only at 14% for main edit summaries and 33% for minor edit summaries, too low by anyone's standards. I'd suggest going into preferences and setting an automatic edit summary, which will remind you to use one. This way, other users will always know what you're doing when you edit. Lastly, if you ever want to become an admin or at least have a wider experience on wikipedia, edit the Wikipedia namespace more often. This shows you know policies and can join in projects and site tasks. It's generally a good sign when a user can confidently edit those areas. Other than those three problems, your main space count is high, you have a large amount of edits across a reasonalbe range of namespaces and you don't seem to get into too much trouble. Keep up the good work, but seriously, learn the ins & outs of fair use images & their rationale. Cheers, Spawn Man 04:42, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And I'd suggest spending less time editing user boxes & your user space & more time working on other things. Those wikipedians who think user boxes are a waste of time may be hostile if down the road your edits to those projects are larger than those to other namespace projects. I like user boxes, but yeah, just another point as I saw you've been editing those types of pages lately. Cheers, Spawn Man 10:00, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Hmm... probably Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals, maybe a bit of Portal:Jurassic Park.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Yes, true. Komodo lover and all of his sockpuppets have got into arguements with me (although other users have got into bigger fights with him). User:Nubula deliberately makes my WikiLife a misery; reverting all edits off the Primeval (TV series) articles just because it's easier than trying to fix the little errors left, callling me a troll and trying to make himself superior to all others.
