@LunaticBFF58, No need to prove anything. The standard process requires that the requester should be well-established, and the target account shouldn't have any edits (some minor edits are okay). In your case, the former requirement is not met, but the latter is met as the target account has 21 minor edits and has been inactive for the last 2 years. Major edits are in userspace. @DreamRimmer: I think "FinanceGuy" is an acceptable username. The username is not unambiguously representative of a company or organization, but sounds more like the name of an individual's pseudonym. Secondly, context does matter here; if the user's edits are promotional or otherwise show a clear link to a company with that name, then that's not acceptable. This does not appear to be the case here. If we applied the "no company names" rule too literally, to the point that even if a random company with an obscure name came up on Google was enough to prevent all uses of that name, a lot of perfectly fine usernames would be considered "promotional" even if the users in question had zero clue said company existed... not a good application of common sense. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 03:18, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
