non-notable person - fails WP:NOT#NEWS. I appreciate that the photograph won an award, fine - so have an article on the photograph. He as an individual is unimportant. Ironholds (talk) 16:43, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Many people unfortunately get hurt/killed in Iraq, and we don't have articles on them. Jeni (talk) 16:56, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge & Redirect to Nina Berman. References about Tyler Ziegel are present in most of the sources which can be considered reliable. I agree with the nominator that the subject may not fulfill criteria of inclusion as standalone article, but we may consider WP:NNC. Hitro talk 17:57, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete: While I understand that the article is sourced, I am concerned that it impacts upon the people mentioned in it. I am myself a solider and in the circumstances as those that Sgt Ziegel and his ex-wife went through, I would not want my personal details splashed across the internet like that. Give the people their privacy. Also, the photo itself is up for deletion it seems and the talk page is filled with comments that could be seen as offensive towards the subject. — AustralianRupert (talk) 01:28, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Sgt. Ziegel isn't the first person to be horribly maimed in Iraq. It's a horrible story, but only made the news because of sensationalism. Plus, this is a living person, and I think we should have some sensitivity about his privacy. Worldruler20 (talk) 12:41, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per Worldruler20. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 03:17, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. I feel kind of guilty having to say delete an article about a man who gave so much for his country, partcularly when some rapper whose sole contribution to society has been to chart #199 out of 200 between stints in prison merits an article under our standards, but just applying the standards when I liked them wouldn't really be fair.
