- Preliminary content. If SIGCOV isn't found, this could be merged with/redirected to List of players who appeared in only one game in the NFL (1920–1929)#1922 rather than deleted. However, a quick search turns up some promising leads, including this and this. Cbl62 (talk) 05:26, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
Redirect to List of players who appeared in only one game in the NFL (1920–1929)#1922 if no SIGCOV is found. He did play for Purdue and seems to have had some career before his Giants' stint so if there is SIGCOV to be found, it is probably from that time. - Change to Weak keep. While I would've liked to see a another significant source from before his death, the obituaries in two major newspapers do indicate his notability in my opinion. Alvaldi (talk) 22:20, 2 June 2023 (UTC)

- His death in 1935 received multiple news articles that I would argue to be SIGCOV (The Indianapolis Star, The Indianapolis Times, another from the Times) - it seems he was a popular figure in Indianapolis and one article mentions he began his football career in 1904 (when he was 13?!). BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:22, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- It seems he and his brother (see PFA) both played in the pre-NFL era for Jim Thorpe's Canton Bulldogs ([1]). BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:28, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- Played through at least '23 ([2]). BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:30, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- Also played for Indianapolis Capitols and Hammond Pros ([3]). BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:41, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- "These two Skinners are all they are said to be; fast as they make them and scrappers to the final whistle." That seems to indicate they newspapers of the day covered them significantly. BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:44, 2 June 2023 (UTC)

- Keep. After reviewing Beanie's findings and conducting some further research on my own, I think GNG is met with SIGCOV that includes this obituary, this one and this piece. Cbl62 (talk) 17:16, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. I think the sources found be me and Cbl are enough for a pass of GNG/NBASIC. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:25, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
