unnotable darts player, fails GNG and WP:SPORTCRIT. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 20:44, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

Keep Professional competitor on the world stage who won the News of the World Darts Championship, the British Matchplay and the Swedish Open. Reaching the quarter-finals of the World Championship in 1980 is notable as is being part of the England team which won the WDF World Cup in 1979. Can be sourced.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:25, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- Delete As completely devoid of sources, with no attempt being made to demonstrate notability. People do not inherit notability from being part of a team or playing in a particular event. Unacceptable to have unsourced biographies for nearly two decades. AusLondonder (talk) 16:28, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. The British Newspaper Archive shows a clear pass of GNG. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:24, 21 October 2024 (UTC)

- Keep because he was a notable political figure who served as an MPP in Ontario, and his contributions to local politics are documented in reliable sources --Jiaoriballisse (talk) 11:36, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Jiaoriballisse: have you posted at the wrong AfD? AusLondonder (talk) 13:35, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- @AusLondonder:, see this nom of theirs I recently closed due to a poor mix of LLM/just grabbing text from WP:RS; I don't even know if they're even looking at the articles they're voting for and their current nom statements are very boilerplate and stilted. - Keep. Agree with above comments, the British newspaper coverage shows sufficient WP:SIGCOV for a WP:GNG pass. Dclemens1971 (talk) 03:57, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. There is WP:SIGCOV in British newspapers. I'm finding many articles on newspapers.com in addition to those noted above. I have clipped a few for anyone wanting to use them as sources in the article.[1][2][3] The regional "Bill Lennard Memorial Cup" appears to be named after him.[4] In 1974, he was parts of the England darts team that competed and won against other the other UK teams (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland).[5] Rjjiii (talk) 15:05, 29 October 2024 (UTC)
- Weak keep: A lot of coverage is WP:ROUTINE, nonetheless I think there is just enough enough notability to pass WP:GNG. Although often routine, his newspaper mentions span a considerable range of time (mid-70s to mid-80s), showing sustained interest, even if some sources are perhaps too local to be useful. A potentially relevant source would be [6], but I am unclear if the persons involved in writing, editing and publishing this article (Patrick Chaplin, Kendo Nagasaki [very possibly a fake name], Andy Fairclough) would pass WP:RSSELF...
