Walter Bryan Emery (1903 - 1971) was a British Egyptologist. Born and educated in Liverpool, his early field work included excavations at Amarna in 1923. He worked on later excavations at Nubia, Luxor and Thebes, Egypt between 1929 and 1934. At Saqqara he made the significant discovery of a "zoo" of mummified animal remains. He excavated the mysterious X group of tombs at Ballana and Qustol dating to the 3rd to 6th century AD. He was assisted in his work by his wife, Molly.

He was made chair of Egyptology at the University of London in 1951.
