[edit]

I have seen your image of a panasonic wireless phone system. I have the same one at my house. Would you mind if I replaced your image with one less blurry? Thanks for listening. 68.195.123.26 01:41, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Usairwaysexpressnewlivery.gif

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Usairwaysexpressnewlivery.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 23:55, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey I wanted to tell you that I really like the added Kaufmann's picture. Anytime I go to The Waterfront I want to snap a photo but always forget!!! Seeing that sign makes me sad to know that Kaufmann's is gone. --Write On 1983 02:15, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of Image:Upmcsign.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Upmcsign.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:PNClogo.svg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:PNClogo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:09, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I noticed that you uploaded the PNC logo on the PNC Financial Services page. Is there any way you can upload the current logo with the same rights? I can tell that you're from Pittsburgh so I'm sure you know that PNC changed the colors around in 2005. That way it'll help Wikipedia users who've never heard of PNC see the current logo. Thanks.

Go Steelers!

Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary

[edit]

Hi! Since you're a member of WikiProject Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. I hope to see you there!--ragesoss (talk) 14:36, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh is rolling out some new features (see our discussion at WT:PITTSBURGH). We are also trying to determine how many members are active. If you could go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh/Members and move your name from inactive to the active or semi-active group (depending on your interest in Pittsburgh issue and overall activity) groups, this would be great. Hopefully in a near future you'll also receive our first newsletter with various information on what we have been doing, and what useful tools are available. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 19:52, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Consol Energy

[edit]

Hi Weatherman1126, thanks for your updates to the Consol Energy article’s infobox. I’ve been doing some work on the article myself and was hoping you might take a look at some revisions I proposed on the article’s talk page to the controversies and political involvement section and provide any feedback you might have. So far I haven’t received any response from other editors as I believe that talk page is not heavily trafficked, but was hoping to get a second opinion before moving forward. Anyways, thanks for your time! - CBuiltother (talk) 15:33, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

UPMC Logo Confusion

[edit]

Hi John! I am having some difficulty overriding the old UPMC logo added to Wiki Commons. I have updated the Univeristy of Pittsburgh Wikipedia page with the most recent logo but it seems Google is still pulling in an old logo from Wiki Commons that was uploaded on 4 July 2007 and named UPMClogoGold.png ‎(264 × 278 pixels, file size: 46 KB, MIME type: image/png). I have tried to edit the file so that it is seen as the "old" logo, and tried to edit the purpose of use, but it does not look like it is registering properly. Would you mind deleting the file 9UPMClogoGold.png) from Wiki Commons so that the new one might register properly? Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
