Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

GNRI Class SG3 moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, GNRI Class SG3, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:54, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Irish county redirects

[edit]

In order to test what you had said at Talk:Meath (disambiguation)#Requested move 31 July 2024 about "most other Irish counties without eponymous county towns redirect to the county" I created User:Crouch, Swale/Irish counties and at the time the RM was open only Laois, Offaly and Westmeath redirected to the counties, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin do not include the "County" prefix. In fact 5 without eponymous county towns are DAB pages namely Clare, Down, Kerry, Louth and Tyrone and Fermanagh goes to the kingdom. However as you noted "most other articles linked on this page are just less important articles related to the county" which I think is on point, Laois, Offaly and Westmeath redirect to the county since similar to Meath most of the other uses are for the county on the other hand Clare, Down, Kerry, Louth and Tyrone have other distinct uses such as unrelated places and other non-geographical uses so as such the counties aren't primary but Fermanagh is interesting, it used to be a redirect to the county until 2017 when the kingdom article was created, perhaps that should be moved to Kingdom of Fermanagh and redirected to the county? ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
