User talk:Trippz
After the Jan 18, 2012 so called English Wikipedia blackout I am now seriously considering never again editing a single piece of information on this site, and probably won't. WP Elitists took it upon themselves to address a political issue using this site and improperly suggested that US legislation would censor users of the internet, which in fact, was not correct. The WP Elitists did not, and have not, created this site - you have, and you come from all types of political frameworks.
Wikipedia should be ashamed of itself for taking a "free content" site, provided for free by others, and distorting it so that they would not have to enforce responsibility measures regarding this site's content. The amount of plagiarism on this site is staggering, and Wikipedia has a responsibility to address it under law.
Wikipedia should STAY the hell out of politics! Shame on them!!
Hi there! Welcome to my talk page. Feel free to leave a comment. I suppose I'm like most others here on Wikipedia in that I'll only be responding to messages here on my page, unless you specifically ask otherwise. Please sign all remarks. Thanks for stopping by!
Alchemy Task Force
[edit]
|
I'm thinking of starting an Alchemy Task Force within The Occult Project (possibly the best TF home), or perhaps a full independent Alchemy Project, that is if I can get some technical and "house keeping" help required for a full-blown project. I want to focus on getting some great articles out there just about alchemical tracts (history, authorship, contents, etc.) and the writers who penned them, and also alchemical concepts, etc. If that is an interest of yours, just name stamp ~~~~ in the list bellow and if we get enough people together we'll formally set up a TF or Project. |

- Yes, in general terms and in a sort of scholarly way, I'm interested in alchemists. I created a few such articles, and I'd be happy to work on related historical material. Charles Matthews (talk) 08:16, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

About Isaac_Newton's_occult_studies article reassessment
[edit]I'm on it. Just to let you know. I may take a day or two as i tend to really analyze the article and then cross check the results against the criteria, and then I tend to leave really detailed comments. So be patient. --Legion fi (talk) 19:49, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- Cool! Take as much time as you need. Be as detailed as you can (or want), and don't be afraid to grill it until well-done! I really appreciate it. --Trippz (talk) 05:54, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]shooting
[edit]You are correct, Trippz. There were many shootings in Tucson even in January 2011. The title should be changed. If not, someone could correctly re-write the article to be about gun related crimes in Tucson in 2011. That would not be a bad article. It seems that N. Oracle Road has been the scene of about 10 shooting deaths in 2011, 6 from the N. Oracle Safeway and 4 others. Such article could also cover the crime trends in Tucson. Of course, a big part of the article would be the Giffords shooting but if people really insist on a title so that it can encompass other shootings in Tucson, that's the consensus' decision to proceed. Additional information
Enroute to another call on January 19th, police were flagged down for a report hearing gunshots coming from a home on East Douglas near 19th and Swan. 25-year-old Marcos Sanchez-Equihua was found dead. Armando Ramirez is a suspect. [1]
On January 20, 21 year old Gabriel Madrid-Wilson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a weapon during a drug offense, and prohibited possessor, after he was accused of shooting a 16 year old boy near the Roy Laos Transit Center, 205 W. Irvington Road. Off-duty police officers heard gunshots then the wounded victim came to the transit center.[2]
On January 23, outside Sky Smoke Shop, 247 W. Grant Road, near North Oracle Road, Dereck Castro, 21, was found dead with gunshot injuries.[3]
On January 24, a north-side shooting of a male victim resulted in potentially life-threatening injuries. This happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 500 block of West Pelaar, near the intersection of North Oracle and West Roger roads.[4]
- Good points. It is currently such a contentious issue though, I'll probably just wait until someone else proposes a name change and weigh in at that point. But thanks for the refs, they support the point very well. --Trippz 04:22, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
