This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of IPSC Australasia Multi-Gun Championship, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=IPSC_Australasia_Multi-Gun_Championship&redlink=1.

It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of IPSC European Action Air Championship

[edit]

Hello Sauer202,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged IPSC European Action Air Championship for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ætoms (talk) 10:38, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ætoms, the page has now got some more info on it and I will try to fill in more results as I find them. Sauer202 (talk) 11:44, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This list you wrote has had a set of clean-up tags on it for nearly a year, including ones noting the lack of any sources. Have you abandoned it or are you able to bring it up to Wikipedia standards? Felsic2 (talk) 15:38, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of receiver threads (firearms) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Multiple issues, including lack of notability, going back 12 months. Contacted creator, but no response.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Hello, Sauer202. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "World Rimfire and Air Rifle Benchrest Federation".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. LinguistunEinsuno 10:59, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can you do something with this as there does not seem to be any notability proven and the website is dead. Thanks ww2censor (talk) 16:17, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the message. I would hope they are notable as an important sport organization in Ireland. Their website seems to be down, I have added a link to an archived version at web.archive.org. A quick look at the 2017 IPSC Handgun World Shoot competitor listing show that they had three competitors at the 2017 IPSC Handgun World Shoot. The minutes show that they were a voting region at the 2017 IPSC General Assembly, and they are still currently listed as an active region in the IPSC Regions list. I would love to add more history to the article, but have to do some searching first. Sauer202 (talk) 19:20, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but a self-source is not considered a reliable third-party source. You need to find something better such as national newspapers. ww2censor (talk) 20:48, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Lineslarge. Sauer202, thanks for creating List of bicycle registers!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I think most of the entries need to be removed from this list. In general, you should only include something in a link if it has a page on Wikipedia (the external pages you've linked to do not count).

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

The Danish shooting movement moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, The Danish shooting movement, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

[edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to [email protected], so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at [email protected].

Thank you!

6,5 × 55 mm SKAN

[edit]

What is the Pmax of the 6,5 × 55 mm SKAN and can you provide a C.I.P. TDCC like reference or references regarding this standard? For the C.I.P. 6.5×55mm case 3,988 bar (398.8 MPa) would yield a similar bolt thrust as the C.I.P. .308 Winchester chambering the modern SIG Sauer 200 STR match rifles must be capable to use.--Francis Flinch (talk) 18:30, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Will see if I can dig and find pressure and dimension specifications for both the original 6.5x55 specification as well as SKAN. I am quite certain that 6,5 × 55 mm SKAN is officially rated for 380 MPa as measured according to the C.I.P. method, but sources are needed. In the meantime I can provide some info that may be of relevance.
Vihtavuori provides reloading data for 6,5 x 55 SE / 6,5 x 55 SKAN with the max pressure for both set at 380 MPa,[1] and write "do not use with Krag-Jörgensen, Mauser M1896 or similar rifles".
For competitions in Norway under DFS the maximum permitted chamber pressures as listed in the competition rules have been:
  • 250 MPa in 6.5×55 for the youngsters (rekrutt) aged 11 to 15 years.[2]
  • 330 MPa in 6.5×55 for Krag-Jørgensen.[3] Ammunition made for the Krag by Raufoss is said to have been reduced further to 280 MPa during the 1960s or 1970s, for example with the «RA SUPER sierra» and «RANO super» factory ammunition, but a source is needed for this. The well known Norwegian handloading manual Ladeboken also mentions 280 MPa as a safe pressure for Krag.[4]
  • 380 MPa in 6.5×55 for SIG Sauer 200 STR and Mauser M67.[3]
  • 415 MPa in 7.62×51 for Sauer and Mauser.[3]
Hot factory ammo is available for Nordic Rifle Field-Shooting, for example "Norma Diamond Line Felt 6,5 130gr / 8,4g" with a muzzle velocity of 900 m/s in a SIG Sauer 200 STR with a 740 mm barrel.[5] The pressure is not stated by the manufacturer, but since it is used in competition it is probably close to 380 MPa.
Even though the same pressure is set for both 200 STR and M67, the 200 STR is considered to be much stronger, similar to how a Remington 700 is considered much stronger than a Mauser 98 (the M67 is built from old k98's). It is not uncommon for handloaders to load past this without pressure signs. To paint a picture, the following are unsourced examples loads used by handloaders, but it can give a rough idea. These are for a 9 gram (140 grain) bullet in SIG Sauer 200 STR with a 740 mm barrel:
  • 6.5x55 SAAMI pressure, 350 MPa, 810-820 m/s.
  • 6.5x55 CIP/SKAN pressure, 380 MPa, 860-880m/s.
  • 6.5x55 handload max (without pressure signs), 415 MPa (.308 pressure), 900-920 m/s.
  • 6.5 Creedmoor, 435 MPa CIP pressure, 830 m/s.
In the other end of the spectrum we have the Krag. It is a strong action, but not as strong as the more modern Mauser og Sauer actions, and as 100 year old competition rifles that could go through thousands and thousands of rounds, wear became an issue. Decent Krag loads have been available that achieves a lower pressure using heavier bullets and slower burning powder.
Older pressure ratings for the 6.5x55 are also interesting, because they may have been measured with different methods such as CUP.

Your draft article, Draft:Svensk Jakt

[edit]

Hello, Sauer202. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Svensk Jakt".

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 08:41, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, European Cartridge Research Association, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ─ The Aafī (talk) 14:53, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Import One-Stop Shop moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Import One-Stop Shop, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I did this rather than removing the uncited material in the article, which I felt would be more disruptive. When you have the required sourcing (and every assertion needs a source), and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Onel5969 TT me 12:29, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello onel5969, and thanks for the heads up. I don't have time to work on that article, and therefore would like to contest the move to draftspace, and hereby ask for the article to instead be listed under Articles for deletion to get broader attention, and if the article is not of high enough quality, to be deleted. Sauer202 (talk) 12:47, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Sauer... no worries. Have moved it back, and removed the unsourced material. I think it is notable, just the current sourcing doesn't have enough in-depth coverage from independent sources to show it. I didn't want to delete all that material, which is why I moved it to draft in the first place. But I've marked it reviewed, since I don't think AfD is warranted. Thanks for all you do on the project. Onel5969 TT me 12:55, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:Onel5969, I have added some sources to the furniture screws article. While I have submitted the draft, I do not have the patience to wait up to 4 months for it to just maybe get accepted. I therefore ask if it can be included in mainspace again, or that it is listed for discussion if you do not think it passes in its current state. As a side note, knock-down fastener could also be considered for merging into furniture screws. I am generally not a fan of draftspace, since in my experience that is a place where stubs are left to die - in other words just a long, painful and non-transparent deletion process.. Yes, they can be expanded nd more sources added, then please do tag them as such. But to claim that they are unsourced and not notalbe is not true. Do you have an anti-sport agenda or something? A tag has been placed on Curaçao Practical Shooters Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. The article Guam National Shooting Sports Federation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No secondary sources to demonstrate notability, only a dead external link.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Deletion discussion about Lars Rönnbäck

[edit]

Hello Sauer202, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Lars Rönnbäck, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lars Rönnbäck.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Thanks for creating the page! The "examples" section unfortunately lacks references. It would be great if you could add some (perhaps from the linked wiki articles)

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Broc}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
